Welcome to Luminosity Lighting Services Ltd
Luminosity was created in 2015 by Chris Rand, who has spent the last 25 years at the forefront of the modern lighting industry. His passion for lighting and design, combined with strong business acumen, brought about the eventual creation of the company he now heads.
Chris worked world-wide on some of the biggest projects staged within diverse fields, such as film and television, award shows, corporate and commercial exhibitions, trade shows, through to rock & roll touring, festivals, and studio construction and installation. Some of the most high-profile work, for which Chris has been credited, includes Top Gear and Jeremy Clarkson’s follow up project for Amazon “The Grand Tour”, a vast array of work with the BBC, including the Proms Concerts, and the Queen’s Tour of Nigeria in 2003. He headed up the lighting team for ITV during the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa and covered the 2016 Rio Olympics with “The Last Leg”. Aside from high-profile events, Chris has been working with an array of clients, such as The One Show, Sky Arts, and BAFTA to name a few.
Luminosity has core staff of highly experienced technical individuals, as well as a loyal freelance skill pool of some of the best lighting technicians the industry has produced.
